A Court of Thorns and Roses is definitely a must-read for fantasy fans. This book has everything that you would want in a fantasy novel: A beautiful world, interesting characters, and a plot that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
This book follows Feyre, a nineteen-year-old girl who was sold into slavery when she was young. She is forced to work as a hunting partner for Tamlin, one of the seven High Lords of Prythian. One day, while hunting with Tamlin and his court, they encounter some faeries who are attacking travelers on the road. Feyre ends up killing one of them and somehow absorbs some of their magic in the process.
She then begins to have strange dreams where she sees another version of herself living in another world where she is a faerie princess named Rhysand who eventually becomes Queen of Prythian.
This book is told from Feyre’s POV only but it does switch between present day events and flashbacks when Feyre sees visions of her other self’s past experiences through her dreams which occur whenever she sleeps or rests for too long after using too much magic during battle or healing someone with magic (which happens often).
