The novel continues the story begun in The Way of Kings (2010), set in a high fantasy world based on Asian cultures. In Words of Radiance, the kingdom of Alethkar is at war with the Parshendi, a race with gemhearts that grant them supernatural abilities. Dalinar Kholin, one of Alethkar’s most famous generals, has been appointed highprince over all other Alethi rulers by his brother, King Elhokar.
However, Dalinar has become increasingly erratic due to visions he believes are from the Almighty and which urge him to unite all nations against an impending threat known as “Shadows” or “Stormfather”.

Review of Words of Radiance PDF
Words of Radiance is the second book in the Stormlight Archive series by Brandon Sanderson. It is an epic fantasy story following the main character Kaladin as he fights in a war against a powerful enemy. It’s also a story about his journey to becoming a better man and leader, as well as his relationships with others.
Words of Radiance has many similarities to other books I’ve read, but it has several differences as well. It’s not an exact copy of anything else I’ve read; it has its own unique style and voice. It’s also much longer than most books, which can make it hard for some people to get through all at once (although there are enough interesting things happening throughout the book that it isn’t too hard).
The pacing was very good in this book, although it did take me a while to get used to it. Early on there was quite a lot of fighting going on with little explanation about what was actually happening or why; however, this quickly changed and everything became much clearer later on when more time had been spent developing characters and worldbuilding elements rather than focusing solely on action scenes.
